All Courses and Classes Refund Policy
Course registration and tuition is sold as a ‘seat’ based fee within a limited size classroom. The ‘seats’, aka ‘spots’, are sold on a first come first served basis. ‘Spots’ are never guaranteed unless fees are paid within the allotted time-frame. As in all higher-learning institutions, success within the course is never guaranteed and is dependent as much on the student’s preparation and effort in and out of class than the content and presentation by the instructor. Hence student preparation and participation is tantamount to success and refunds are never issued upon voluntary withdrawal or failure from a program.
Instructor performance is governed by the various credentialing agencies that govern or endorse IME programs.
To receive a refund or credit for a seat/spot in a class PRIOR to the class starting, a student must withdraw by a written notification that is e-mailed to International Medical Education LLC. Students are advised to use delivery notification and read-notification settings on their email client. Refunds and credits are determined by the day said notification is delivered. Failure to attend a program or notifying the instructor in person or by telephone does not constitute an official withdrawal. Separate fees such as books, supplies, uniforms, reading test, drug testing or physical is not part of tuition and is non-refundable.
The following time-frames determine the refund or portion of refund of any tuition fees or charges:
30 or More Days Prior to Start
If a student withdraws from a course at least 30 business days before the first class, the student is entitled to a full refund of all tuition. For tuition charges that are paid initially with a credit card, a check will be given in the amount of the original course fee after 7 business days of the initial charge for verification of funds transfer and validity of the initial charge. IME does not issue charge backs on credit cards.
14 or More Days Prior to Start
If you withdraw from a course at least 14 business days before the first class, you are entitled to full credit of all money towards another International Medical Education course valid for one year less a 10% (of total tuition) re-registration fee.
7 or More Days Prior to Start
If you withdraw from a course at least 7 business days before the first class, you are entitled to full credit of all money towards another International Medical Education course valid for one year less the registration fee (20% of total tuition).
Less than 7 Days
No refunds or credits will be given if notification is received with under 7 calendar days for any reason.
